Picnic Island is located in the quaint summer town of Honey Harbour on the south eastern shore of Georgian Bay. We are on the inside navigational channel heading north, providing a natural safe harbour and waterway for canoeing, kayaking and boating. Georgian Bay is home to some of the worlds best fresh-water boating and fishing. The western terminus of the Trent Severn Waterway is about 15 minutes to the south and Parry Sound approximately one hour to the north.

Whether it’s a Spring Getaway weekend, summer holiday or fall color weekend or sport fishing trip, this is the perfect setting for family and group gatherings. Only an hour and a half north of Toronto, we are the Near North! Come and enjoy the Bay at it’s best!

  • Take the exit onto ON-400 N toward ON-69/Parry sound/Sudbury
  • Take exit 156 for Port Severn Road N toward Port Severn/Regional Road 5/Honey Harbour/Muskoka Road
  • Keep left at the fork, follow signs for Muskoka Road 5
  • Turn left onto Port Severn Rd
  • Continue onto Honey Harbour Rd/Regional Road 5
  • Turn left onto Baxter Loop Rd
  • Slight right onto Picnic Island Rd

  • Merge onto Queen Elizabeth Way

  • Take the exit onto ON-401 E
